NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Brandon Ingram capped a 28-point performance with a career-high seven 3-pointers, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the New Orleans Pelicans, who defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. 132-112.
The Pelicans set a franchise record with 25 three-pointers. Ingram recorded the third triple double of his career, and the crowd rose to its feet to applaud him in the final minutes when he left the game for good.
CJ McCollum scored 22 points and made four shots from long range. Rookie guard Jordan Hawkins made six 3-pointers and finished with 21 points for New Orleans, while Trey Murphy III made five 3-pointers and added 18 points.
LaMelo Ball scored 29 points and Terry Rozier added 25 for Charlotte, which trailed for much of the game, including by 24 points in the second half.
Nick Richards added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the slumping Hornets, who have lost six games in a row and 17 of 18.
