With a three-day battery – Nokia unveils the Nokia G11 Plus

Just as we expected over the past weeks, Nokia unveiled the latest mid-range phones called the Nokia G11 Plus, a new version of the G11 series that was first announced last February.

Nokia’s focus on budget-class phones may be a little annoying for its fans, but it seems that it is unable to compete with major companies such as Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi. However, the parent company HMD Global has confirmed that it intends to announce a flagship phone during 2022.

Coming back to the G11 Plus, the phone has a modest 6.51-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate with a punch-hole to house the 8MP selfie camera.

The back cover houses a dual camera that includes a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a 2MP secondary lens. You can also find a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.

For some reason, Nokia decided to reserve the type of processor used, but confirmed the presence of 4 GB of random memory and 64 GB of internal storage with an expansion slot for a microSD card reader that can accommodate an additional space of 512 GB as a maximum.

The company did not mention the version of the Android system used, but all possibilities point to the Android 12 system, and the company promised that it will take care of providing software updates for two years, with monthly security updates for a period of no less than three years.

The Nokia G11 Plus offers up to three days of battery life

The Nokia G11 Plus is a budget or mid-range phone, which means that it has modest specifications that are affordable given the target group of users. However, battery life is the tipping point that might make you prefer owning the phone.

Nokia said in the ad that the phone offers a three-day battery life, however, it did not detail the total capacity. The original Nokia G11 had a 5,050mAh battery, so the G11 Plus is expected to come with a larger battery capacity.

Available in blue and gray, the phone has a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. The company did not mention during the announcement the final reveal date of the phone or its expected price.
