Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Turkish researcher, Hatice Cengiz, who was the fiancée of the Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed in his country’s consulate in Istanbul in 2018, published a tweet in Arabic with a picture of Khashoggi.
In a previous series of tweets, on Thursday, Cengiz said: “During today’s hearing in the case of Jamal’s murder, the public prosecutor requested, at the Saudi request, that the file be transferred to Saudi Arabia and finalized in Turkey. The court will request the opinion of the Turkish Ministry of Justice.”
She continued, “It is an exemplary situation in terms of showing the dilemma facing humanity in the modern age. Which of the two would we choose? Desire to live as a virtuous person or to build a life by placing material interests above all kinds of values.”
“This system, in which material interests are often put forward, will eventually explode itself. Because it goes once morest human nature,” she continued.
