With 800,000 passengers at the end of July 2022, Agadir airport regains 70% of its pre-covid traffic

Good news for Agadir, the second tourist destination in Morocco. The city’s airport welcomed a total of 809,278 passengers during the first seven months of 2022, according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA).

This volume of passenger traffic represents a recovery rate of 70% compared to the same period of 2019 (1,150,638 passengers), specifies the same source in a press release.

During the month of July alone, Agadir Airport even surpassed its pre-covid-19 performance, welcoming 195,121 passengers, once morest 179,449 during the month of July 2019, indicates ONDA.

On the whole of the national territory, the airports cumulated, at the end of last July, a volume of commercial traffic of 9,813,316 passengers, through 89,648 airport movements for all the airport infrastructures. This represents a recovery rate of 70% of passengers and 75% of airport movements, compared to pre-pandemic levels.
