The Dutch company Canyon has launched its wireless charging station called WS-404. The device is noteworthy in that it can charge four devices at the same time, with two gadgets being smartphones, and the rest being headphones and a watch.
Another noteworthy detail: one of the wireless pads is equipped with a magnetic mount, for example, for the Apple iPhone. Other devices (including Android) can also “stick”, however, their weight should be small, or they should be held on the camera unit.
Of course, such a device is most relevant for owners of the Apple iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. Because there is a magnetic mount, there is full compatibility, as a rule, Apple headphones are wirelessly charged. But you can also use the Canyon station for Android gadgets: I had Huawei FreeBuds 3 headphones and a Xiaomi 12 smartphone.
The Canyon WS-404 model costs regarding 6,000 rubles.

Appearance
The charging station is available in only one color – black. I would prefer white as it will show less fingerprints, dust and wear. Still, it is assumed that the gadget is on the table in a conspicuous place, I want such a solution to look civilized.
I can’t say that the WS-404 looks primitive, but it is the black color that spoils the picture a little. For example, the WS-303 in white looks futuristic and elegant. However, to each his own – I express my exclusively subjective point of view.
In the renderings on the site, the WS-404 appears semi-gloss. But in real life, most of the body is made of matte plastic. And he is branded, which is very strange. A rod is made of glossy plastic, which holds charging blocks for a smartphone and a watch.
Another minor disadvantage is the rubber anti-slip pads for the smartphone, which should be located at the bottom, and for the headphones. Dust, pellets from clothes and so on instantly stick to them. Actually, that’s why I talked regarding what it was worth doing WS-404 in white.
The assembly is of high quality, I did not notice any crooked seams between the parts, nothing creaks or backlash, kruit is also inaudible, it works silently – there is no squeak, it does not heat up.
The gadget weighs regarding 500 grams, and the dimensions are 138 x 105 x 161 mm. Takes up little space.
Elements on the case
There are four operation indicators on the bottom of the front panel. They are illuminated with blue light. Each indicator has its own pattern: two in the form of smartphones (a hint of the Apple iPhone, as there is a “notch”), one in the form of a headphone case and one is a watch.
The indicators light up depending on which platform the device is placed on. The glow is dim, at night it does not distract. But I would still turn away from myself: I don’t like any lights in chargers and other gadgets.
On the bottom there are two platforms – for the phone and a case with headphones.
In the first case, two rubber pads are shaped like the letter “C”. And there are nuances. The fact is that most smartphones now have large camera modules. So, when you put the phone on the platform, it rests on the camera module and on the bottom of the case. That is, anti-slip pads do not play any role.
And if you pull the phone up so that the module goes beyond the site, then the gaskets also do not really help. For example, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra glides over the surface anyway.
It seems to me that it was necessary to make rubberized zones on the top and bottom of the lower platform, and use thin, but frequent strips of rubber in the center.
There were no problems with the headphone case. There, the entire platform is rubberized, the case lies completely on it.
What’s on top? There, on the right, is a platform for the clock. It is made at an angle. And on the left is a place for a smartphone with magnetic charging. I mean iPhone.
Purely theoretically, an Android smartphone can also be hung on the left platform. Only it should either weigh little or be partially held on the module with lenses. In my case, Xiaomi 12 was easily magnetized to the place of charge, partially relying on the block with lenses.
But the huge and heavy Mi 11 Ultra just hung on the block with cameras and did not charge. But here the problem is in the smartphone itself: its coil is located lower than the coil of the charging station.
In general, if you have an Apple iPhone, then there will be no problems. If you have an Android device, then it is desirable that it is not very heavy and large. And if it is in a case that covers the camera block, it’s very good.
On the reverse side of the charging station there is an input for connecting the power supply. Its cable has an L-shaped round plug.
Four rubber feet are glued to the bottom of the station. You can also see holes for cooling the system.
The power supply is medium in size, but the shape might be more streamlined, because in front of you is a rectangular black “brick”.
In work
The Canyon WS-404 charging station supports a total power of 36W. The official data on the capacities of the sites are as follows: 15 W, 10 W, 7.5 W, 5 W. In total, 37.5 watts comes out. I think the manufacturer simply operated with standard wireless charging power values.
For the test, I used a Xiaomi 12 smartphone (4500 mAh) and Huawei FreeBuds 3 headphones (410 mAh). They are equipped with wireless chargers.
Devices can be charged at the same time, and I got the following numbers:
- smartphone Xiaomi 12 from 0% to 100% is charged on the left upper platform in 3 hours 30 minutes
- Xiaomi 12 charges from 0% to 100% on the bottom right platform in 2 hours 20 minutes
- Huawei FreeBuds 3 watch from 0% to 100% charged on the bottom left platform in 55 minutes
I was unable to check the watch pad as there was no wearable device with wireless charging available. And the headphones refused to be charged from the right upper platform (there is a magnet there).
The charge time approximately indicates the currents and powers that the manufacturer promises. That is, Canyon provides honest data.
Impression
The Canyon device made a good impression, largely due to the fact that the data is given in the specifications for the WS-404 charging station.
Pleased with the fact that you can charge up to four devices at once. It can be any two smartphones, headphones and a watch. Of course, the gadget is best adapted to Apple technology.
Of the minuses: the black color of the body, on which fingerprints are visible, and rubber anti-slip pads on which dust sticks.
The rest is a quality thing, I can fully recommend it for purchase. The Canyon WS-404 model costs regarding 6,000 rubles.
There are many such charging stations. Most for 1-2 devices. Very rarely on 4. I tried to find something interesting, but they were some kind of nouns.
