Razer is adapting its headphones for PlayStation and Xbox. In addition to an official license, and a unique design for each console, they provide a USB-C dongle for a 2.4 GHz wireless connection.
Razer has developed, under license with PlayStation and Xbox, two models of wireless headphones. The first, you doubt it, are designed for the PlayStation 5, the second for the Xbox Series S and X. They are AirPods Pro type headphones, intras, equipped with two integrated noise-canceling microphones (ENC).
Reduced latency
Looking at it, the Hammerhead HyperSpeed are Bluetooth headphones as there are many. Razer already designs wireless headphones, and these are very correct on many points, including design and sound quality. The Hammerhead HyperSpeeds are quite unique, not because they have RGB, but because they work with a USB-C dongle. They’re not the first to do this. JBL Quantum TWS provide a similar function.
This USB dongle makes it possible to do without Bluetooth (5.2 here) and to communicate via a 2.4 GHz wireless connection. This lowers the latency (from 25 to 35 ms), which is a good point in the case of a gaming session. There is also talk of an autonomy of 30 hours with the battery of the case.
The Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed headphones will be available in November 2022, starting at 179.99 euros. During the RazerCon event, we also discovered edge game console.
