Don’t they look cute? Adrian Kingsley-Hughes/ZDNET
These days, there’s little to differentiate one charger or cable from another. All chargers worth their salt use GaN (gallium nitride) technology and feature a multitude of ports that deliver phenomenal power.
Plus, they all pretty much look the same. Accessories maker Ugreen breaks the mold and brings a cool face to charging. That of a cute little robot!
I recently tested the Ugreen Nexode RG 65W charger with 3 USB ports. It has an LCD screen that shows the status of the charger, whether it is standby, fast charging or just plugged in. Ugreen goes even further with a new range of Uno chargers, and has even added a cable to the mix.

I tested two of these chargers.
Ugreen Uno 100W 4 USB Port Charger
The first is the Ugreen Uno 100W with 4 USB ports. It has three USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. With four devices plugged in, you get 45W, 30W, and 7.5W from the USB-C ports, and an additional 7.5W from the USB-A port.
On the front there is a TFT screen that displays different faces for fast charge, standby and trickle charge modes.
This is an excellent charger sold at €70.

Ugreen Uno Qi2 Wireless Charger
Next up is the Ugreen Uno Qi2, a 25W 2-in-1 charging stand that includes the new Qi2 wireless charger for up to 15W, a USB-C output port that can deliver a modest 5W of power for headphones and smartwatches, and another USB-C port for input.
This is again a high quality charging stand. The Qi2 charging pad works as expected, uses super strong N48H magnets. And, and this charger shows different faces, one for charging and another for standby.
This model does not come with a power supply: you will need a charger with a minimum power of 30 W. However, you have a one-meter USB-C to USB-C cable. The price of the Ugreen Uno Qi2 is €60.
Uno USB-C Cable
This is the Uno USB-C cable from Ugreen. Look at his little face. Adrian Kingsley-Hughes/ZDNET
Finally, Ugreen offers the Uno USB-C cable which supports up to 100W power delivery and data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. This cable is available in four lengths (0.5m, 1m, 2m and 3m) with prices ranging from €11 to €20.
And yes, the cable has a tiny LCD screen that displays a face when powered. This isn’t the most practical use of a cable-mounted LCD that I’ve seen. That award goes to ChargerLAB’s AK001 Power-Z USB-C cable, where the LCD screen is attached to a meter that indicates the power passing through the cable. But this Ugreen cable is still cute and different.
I’m a big fan of Ugreen hardware. Their products are well built, use cutting edge technology, pass all the tests I put them through, and last for years. Plus, if you want something a little different, this new line of Uno charging hardware delivers.
