winter storm warnings in Minnesota and Wisconsin

A winter storm warning extends Monday from the Dakotas through central Minnesota to northern Wisconsin with a winter weather advisory north and south of these areas in the United States.

The snowfall is expected to continue from Monday night to Tuesday, according to local media. Star Tribune. Meteorologists warn regarding the danger posed by slippery surfaces commonly occupied by pedestrians.

The first snow is expected Monday night from central Minnesota to northern Wisconsin.

Forecasts indicate that these areas will see three to seven inches of snow through Tuesday. Parts of southeastern Minnesota might see a wintry mix this followingnoon, mostly in the form of sleet. Snow might be even heavier in parts of Wisconsin.

It will also be quite a cold week, forecasts indicate.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz wrote on his Twitter account over the weekend: “Nothing like starting the weekend off with a little ice fishing.” “Minnesota, bundle up and get out and enjoy all that our state has to offer this winter and all year long,” Walz added alongside a photo of himself bundled up fishing.
