Wingo will suspend its Bogota-Mexico route

As of Wednesday, April 19, the airline Wingo will suspend the Bogotá-Mexico City-Bogotá route, which had three frequencies per week.

Next Sunday, April 16, the airline will make the last flight to the North American country.

As reported by the airline Wingoas established by aeronautical regulations, the respective authorities of Mexico and Colombia were notified of said decision, together with the detail of the protection plan for travelers.

Therefore, passengers who had tickets purchased to fly on the Bogotá-Mexico City-Bogotá route following April 19, may choose one of the following options:

  1. Request a refund of 100 percent of the value of the ticket and obtain additional compensation equivalent to 30% of the airfare. This payment can be obtained in a voucher or in the ticket payment method.
  2. Change route without penalty.
  3. April travelers may request the endorsement option through Copa Airlines to fly to the destination.

Travelers should note that four other operators currently offer the route Bogotá-Mexico City-Bogotá.

Finally, the information from the airline specified that although Wingo will suspend its flights to the Mexican capital, will maintain its direct routes to Cancun from Bogotá, Medellín and Cali.
