Last year, like 2020, it was canceled due to corona, this year the traditional Wine & Art Festival, which has been in existence for over 25 years, is finally taking place once more in Linz’s old town. Date: September 1st to 3rd, 2022 in the area Alter Markt – Altstadt – Landhaus – Promenade!
“Wine & Art” attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the old town every year. The cultural offer ranges from readings and exhibitions in the galleries of Linz’s old town to performances. In addition, many local winegrowers with their best wines: Wine & Art is an absolute highlight in the Linz calendar of events and a feast for all the senses.
60+ participating winemakers
From September 1st to 3rd, 2022 from 3 p.m. more than 60 winegrowers from all over Austria will present their fine wines. One or the other wine from Austria’s neighboring countries can also be found among them. And for some, wine alone may be art enough.
My glass for…
The organizers are particularly proud of having created not only an event but also a charity tradition with Wein & Kunst. Also this year there will be the wine & art charity campaign “My glass for…” in close cooperation with the Rechberger company. As in previous years, visitors can combine enjoyment with a good cause, donate glasses and thus support a child and his family.
“Linz Wine of the Year”
This year, too, a white wine will be nominated for “Wine is Art – the Linz Wine of the Year”. In a blind tasting, the look, smell and taste are evaluated. All winegrowers of the Wein & Kunst wine festival are entitled to participate. The award ceremony will take place during the event days. The winning wine receives a specially designed label and is also sold as a Linz special edition.
