Windows’ redesigned phone sync app makes Android notifications more prominent

Microsoft Phone Link

Microsoft unveils redesigned phone sync app today, and changed the name from the original “Your Phone” to “Phone Link”. In addition to redesigning the interface to be more in line with the overall look of Windows 11, the main change to Phone Link is to place notifications prominently so you won’t miss them. Plus, your texts, photos, apps, and incoming calls have their own tabs at the top, making it easier to organize. In addition to the appearance, Phone Link also simplifies the process of connecting to the phone. After the Windows 11 update in the future, you will be able to set up Phone Link by simply scanning a QR code.

Synchronized with the Windows version of the app and renamed, and the corresponding Android app, from the original “Your Phone Companion” to “Link to Windows”. Microsoft also announced that it will cooperate with Honor to bring more advanced cross-device capabilities to the brand’s mobile phones, becoming the first brand to enjoy deeper integration following Surface Duo and Samsung. Currently supported models include Magic V, Magic 4, Magic 3 and other series, and will be expanded to more styles in the future.

Although generally speaking, the built-in apps in Windows are rarely used, but for those who work on a PC, it is usually quite annoying to look away from the phone. Notifications are easier to see, and that has useful value.
