A report said that the American company “Microsoft” is currently considering changing the periodicity of its release of updates for its operating system, “Windows”.
Shortly following announcing the launch of an annual update that carries new features for Windows users, the company is studying the idea of launching a huge software update every 3 years, with small software updates with a maximum of 4 updates during that period.
A report from the “Windows Central” website confirmed that the new periodicity of the release of updates will benefit the operating system community at various levels.
There were two software updates, including updates, features, and software solutions to vulnerabilities, annually.
This will be reduced to one huge update that will be launched once a year, which will make it easier for the IT departments in companies to keep pace with these updates on all the company’s devices.
In addition, working on an update frequency of one software update per year will allow Microsoft teams to focus on developing useful software features for users that can be delivered to them through small updates.
This will also focus mainly on the annual giant update to be sufficient to significantly and significantly improve the user experience with Windows and improve the overall performance of electronic computers.
In view of the new periodicity of the release of “Windows” updates, we are on a date with the reception of the new generation “Windows 12” by 2024, when it will have been 3 years since the launch of “Windows 11”.
The new periodicity will not hinder the arrival of new features that the company is constantly working to provide to Windows users, as there is the “Moments” system, which releases software updates that provide new features for the device quickly and periodically throughout the year.
Microsoft will start implementing the new system with the launch of the “Windows 11” update, version 22H2, and Microsoft will release a maximum of 4 updates, starting from 2023.
It is likely that the periodicity of new updates will be exclusive to the “Windows 11” operating system, and this will make it a strong selling feature that encourages companies and individuals to switch to using the new operating system and upgrade their devices to obtain the best performance.
It is noteworthy that “Microsoft” promised earlier this year to explore different methods, to release new features for Windows, and it seems that it has already begun to fulfill its promise.
