Windows 11: the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Alt-Delete soon to disappear

All Windows users are familiar with the Ctrl-Alt-Del keyboard shortcut, whether it’s to lock a session, switch users or access Task Manager to close an unresponsive application. It is on this last use that habits might soon change.

In version 25300 of Windows 11 reserved for developers, a new and much simpler possibility is offered to the user to close an application directly from his jump list.

Spotted by a Twitter account, the option allows you to directly close a crashed application with a simple right-click on its icon in the Taskbar. This action shows the jump list : just click on End Task. The function will probably be translated as End of task in French, as in the Task Manager.

Pending the appearance of this option in the next Windows 11 updates, it is still possible to bring up the Task Manager by right-clicking on the Taskbar.
