Windows 11 Settings is getting a bunch of cool features and improvements. Users will, for example, be able to add VHD/VHDX units, as well as gain improved keyboard options and a brand new “home” section. The news was revealed by the user thebookisclosed on Twitter, where he says it will be possible to create virtual storage units within the app.
Unfortunately this feature is hidden and there is still no ID to be used in Vivetool. But when you can enable the functionality, you can generate a fixed or dynamic VHD (up to 2TB) or a VHDX (up to 64TB) by specifying the location and selecting a partition style (GPT or MBR).
Virtual Disk creation is coming to Settings .. soon? Build 25300 already supports it but it’s completely hidden out of box. pic.twitter.com/0DcS9nvZjM

What are the new keyboard settings?
Another change that the Settings app update will bring is the reorganization of the language order in the input languages submenu, to set a keyboard to use by default on the login and startup screen. This functionality can be tested using the Vivetool app, which can be downloaded from GitHub. Follow the steps below to activate this new function.
Step 01: Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin).
Step 02: Switch the Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + 2 or by clicking the down arrow button at the top of the window.
Step 03: Navigate to the folder containing the Vivetool files with the CD command. For example, if you placed Vivetool in C:Vive, type CD C:Vive.
Step 04: Type vivetool /enable /id:34912776 and press Enter.
Step 05: Restart the computer.
If you want to go back on the change made above, just repeat the steps replacing /enable with /disable in the commands of steps 3 and 4.
New design in the “home” section
On the home page of the Settings app, Microsoft will launch a new design. However, not much is known regarding the changes that will be made. It is necessary to wait for the next builds of Windows 11.
New “Presence” section
Through the new “Presence” section in the Settings app, the user will be able to use the function to detect the user’s physical presence in front of the computer. It is known that some computers have a dedicated sensor for this, being able to return to work when approached.
