On Wednesday (03), Microsoft released version 26100 of Windows 11. The testing update is available to users in the Dev and Canary channels of the Insider program, bringing bug fixes to ensure a more stable experience over the next month .

Furthermore, the company confirmed that a failure is “freezing” devices in versions 26040 and 23620. There is not yet a fix available for this problem, however, the company asks that users interested in trying version 26100 do a clean installation using the operating system image in ISO format.

The latest update for the Dev and Canary channels focuses on fixing bugs reported by users who installed builds 26090 and 26080, as a problem that prevented the sleep or shutdown buttons from working the PC no Start menu.

One of the recent changes to the testing channels is the possibility of using Copilot in a common Windows window. Microsoft claims to have fixed an issue that prevented adding focus to the ellipsis “…” button or updating buttons using the keyboard when using the Tab key to move between buttons.

Users will notice that the watermark with the build number and other system version information will not be present in the lower right corner of the screen. Microsoft points out that the text is removed when a version is close to release, but should be shown once more with the start of the next development cycle.

Windows 11 should receive a major update in the second half of 2024. Called “24H2”, the new version should expand the artificial intelligence tools, in addition to bringing new capabilities to Copilot. Design tweaks to the quick settings menu and other areas are also expected.
