A long time ago, the photo application in the Windows system was at most used to preview images without too many extended functions, but as time went by, the photo application in Windows 11 has been completely different from the past, saying that it is the entire computer. Windows 11 “Photos” app updates to fix blemishes directly on photos

The three new features being tested are the new slideshow experience, timeline scrolling, and bug fixes, which are currently exclusive to Windows preview members, but will be launched in version 2023.11050.2013.0 of the photo app, which Available for download from the Microsoft Store.

The most noteworthy and most important of these is the bug fix. This is a new photo editing tool. When you edit a photo in the photo app, you can find it in the “Retouch” (Retouch) menu. Microsoft stated that this is an advanced requirement raised by users in the community.

Other features being tested in the Photos app include recovery following deletion. You’ll now see a timeline scroller along the side of your All Photos, OneDrive, and iCloud Photos libraries, allowing you to group photos by year and month. Pull the time axis to scroll forward or backward, making it easier to find photos at a specific point in time.

Other small features and changes in this new version are as follows:

  • Automatic enhancement without installing 93MB add-on.
  • When importing photos from an external device, you can drag and drop to select the desired photos and use the quick toggle to confirm the selected file.
  • Hidden iCloud photos will no longer appear in Library.
  • Fixed audio default muting in video files, the app now plays audio by default and preserves user settings across videos.
  • When you copy selected photos in the Photos app and paste them into Outlook and Teams, it is now inserted inline by default instead of adding an attachment.
  • Hold Shift to select multiple sequential photos; hold Ctrl to select multiple non-sequential photos.

Again, these small features are currently only available to Windows Insider users and will be rolled out to the general public once testing is complete. Windows Insiders can get new features by updating in the Microsoft Store.
