Windows 11, Microsoft improves and optimizes the start menu

Windows 11 introduces significant changes to the start menu. This “major” update has been talked regarding a lot so that Microsoft does not miss an opportunity to refine its experience and fix bugs.

Windows 11 build 22563 precisely offers improvements and a series of bug fixes. This Preview has been available for a few days through the DEV channel of the Windows Insider program. Microsoft explains that it has corrected a lot of problems.

For example, the bug that caused a crash when sharing an application from the “All applications” list has been fixed. A fix addresses an issue where it launches inconsistently with the new touch gestures. The standby icon has also been fixed while added or removed recommended items come with a new enter or exit animation.

The display also benefits from improvement. We find the correction of a fuzzy effect of the names of the applications in the folders which makes it difficult to read.

Windows 11 and the start menu

Microsoft summarizes

“When new recommended items are added or removed, their icons will be animated to fade and disappear. The sleep icon in the power menu no longer displays as a bell. We fixed an issue that caused the power button tooltip apostrophe to not display correctly. App names in folders no longer briefly blur when opening folders in the home screen. We fixed a crash when sharing an app from the All Apps list. “

Many of these fixes should find their way to the consumer version of Windows 11. Microsoft is no longer waiting for a feature update to be released to roll out this kind of content. It is therefore not impossible that all this little world is offered through a new cumulative update.
