2023-06-10 10:13:39

Microsoft released new Windows 11 update, KB5027305. It is deployed through the Beta channel of the Windows Insider program. It has no major novelties or changes, only two notable adjustments. The operating system is enriched with natural voices for the Narrator in Chinese and Spanish while a new option allows to switch between cellular or Wi-Fi.

The most striking fact is the support for natural voices in Chinese and Spanish (Spain and Mexico). This advancement applies to web browsing and reading or writing content. You can try this new feature just go to Narrator Settings to find the voice section of Narrator. Then select the Add button to select the language.

The other novelty concerns the network with an option to switch between Wi-Fi and Cellular if the wireless is poor but available. This feature can be enabled through Settings by heading to Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular to enable it.

If you are enrolled in the beta channel, Microsoft uses enablement packages to enable these features. Note that the rollout of KB5027305 results in two new Windows 11 Insider Preview builds Build 22621.1835 and Build 22631.1835 (KB5027305) on the beta channel.

  • Build 22631.1835 = New features rolled out.
  • Build 22621.1835 = New features disabled by default.

It is worth remembering that the beta channel is where the firm tests novelties close to their large-scale deployment.

Regarding the evolution of Windows 11 the next appointment is known. Its upcoming 23H2 feature update has been officially confirmed. The date is set for next fall.
