Windows 11 (KB5020044): Available as an optional update

Windows 11 2022 Update (version 22H2) has just received a new optional update. Like every month, one week before Patch Tuesday, Microsoft releases Patch C (optional update) for those who want to have the latest news before anyone else. On this occasion we have received the KB5020044 update, which leads us to the version 22621.900 de Windows 11.

KB5020044 Patch Highlights

These are the main new features of the update:

  • Gives Microsoft OneDrive subscribers storage alerts on the Systems page of the Settings app. Alerts appear when you get close to your storage limit.
  • Provides the full amount of storage capacity for all your OneDrive subscriptions. It also shows total storage on the Accounts page of the Settings app.
  • Combine Windows Spotlight with Themes on the Personalization page. This makes it easy to discover and activate the Windows Spotlight feature.
  • Resolves a known issue affecting the Input Method Editor (IME). Some applications may stop responding. This occurs when using keyboard shortcuts to change the input mode of the IME.
  • Resolves an issue that causes File Explorer to stop working. This occurs when context menus and menu items are closed.
