Windows 11 Insider Beta Channel Gets Two More New Builds, 22621.450 And 22622.450

The Windows 11 Insider beta channel continues its new dual build system, with 22621.450 having new features disabled by default, but 22622.450 getting a new, albeit minor, set of features. Included in 22622.450 are a number of improvements including improved capabilities for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, the ability for SMB compression to compress even small files, improved storage replication over low bandwidth or WAN, a fix for some devices showing tablet mode even if they don’t. ‘t have a touchscreen, and a fix for Microsoft Edge crashing when using IE mode. Among the known issues with these builds is an issue causing the Photos app to crash, but you can expect a fix to roll out soon with an update to the Photos app. Audio apparently stopped working for some insiders with build 22622.440, the company is investigating those reports, and there are some issues with the appearance of File Explorer.

Remember that if you are in the beta channel and you receive the “disabled features” version of this latest build (22621.450), you can check Windows Update under optional updates to “check” for features in the beta channel. version (22622.450), although it still doesn’t work. does not guarantee that you will get new features.
