Windows 11 was launched in October 2021. After several months of waiting, its official packaging is revealed. The operating system is appearing on some online stores.
The information was posted on Twitter. Snapshots of official Windows 11 packaging have been released. They are from Best Buy. The brand offers installation flash drives for the Home and Pro versions of the operating system.
In some cases it is easier and more convenient to grab the OS as a digital upgrade. On the other hand, a material support is useful for offline installations or if the Internet connection is of low speed.
The Home version of Windows 11 is priced at $139 compared to $200 for the Pro edition. There are therefore no major differences in the pricing policy of Windows 10.
Windows 11, a deployment still in progress.
At the same time, Microsoft is continuing its deployment on all eligible Windows 10 PCs. Thus the operating system is offered as a free upgrade via the Windows Update service. We are currently in the final phase of this deployment process.
If all goes as planned, general availability will be announced ahead of the original schedule.
On this subject Microsoft explained
“The Windows 11 upgrade offer is entering its final phase of availability. It is intended for large-scale deployment for eligible devices. Since Windows 11 launched in October 2021, we’ve seen strong demand and preference for Windows 11, with people upgrading their eligible PCs at twice the rate we’ve seen for Windows 10.”
