File Explorer is probably the most popular application in Windows 11. It has benefited from several improvements in recent years.
Its evolution is not over since Microsoft intends to deploy several new features. They will concern the interface, a recommended section and a new Gallery view in order to enjoy images and media in the form of thumbnails.

Meanwhile the application is not perfect and systems are victims of its slowness. In some situations opening specific files or folders is slow. In front of this situation Desk mud shares a weird trick that may provide a solution. It seems that pressing the F11 key on the keyboard twice makes it load faster.
In the file explorer, the F11 key offers to switch to full screen mode. A double tap allows you to launch full screen mode and then go back to windowed mode immediately afterwards. It is currently unclear why this trick makes folders load faster on some Windows 11 systems.
