O Windows 11 Insider Preview received a new update from Microsoft. This is yet another version. Canary Channel that arrives for the company’s operating system. In this sense, the update that arrived can leave a good portion of users with a feeling of frustration. See what the company posted on its blog:

We are starting to distribute the cumulative update build 25931.1010 (KB5030120). This update does not include anything new and is designed to test our service pipeline for builds on the Canary Channel.

That is, this update is not bringing anything relevant to improve the use of the software in general. No bug fixes, addition of new features or improvements in any way. So it’s a very different update than the system recently received on the Canary channel.

At the time, the update brought some changes like support for Unicode 15 emojis and a number of changes in domain controller management. Thus, these are changes that have arrived to improve the work of IT administrators, even if even home users can notice.

A major highlight of last week’s update is the fact that it is the first build to no longer use the Windows Internet Name Service (WINS), according to Microsoft. Likewise, users now have the option of uninstalling some pre-installed applications.

In any case, the company’s testing of the update process may mean that it is preparing a major content update for Windows 11. If that really happens, it is possible that this news will arrive later this month or in September. Finally, see the details of the recent update that fixed slowness on SSDs.
