2023-10-18 18:35:00

Windows 11 received two new builds through the Canary and Insiders channels that brought changes such as support for Bluetooth Low Energy Audio (LE), reformulated location permissions, additional access control options for SMB over QUIC and some fixes for known bugs (in this case of build 25977), as well as bringing more fixes to Explorer, as this time the company claims to have fixed the crashes and crashes (in build 23570 for Windows 11 Dev).

In the case of Bluetooth LE Audio support, users using these new hearing aids can now pair, stream audio, and answer calls directly on their Windows PC with the technology.

Microsoft is also adding new controls to manage which apps have access to the list of Wi-Fi networks around you, which can be used to determine your location. You can view and modify which apps can access the list of Wi-Fi networks by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location.

There are also fixes to improve performance when expanding the navigation pane in the Task Manager; and a bug where .rar files opened blank or with a message stating that there was not enough memory to open the file was fixed. In the case of Explorer, the problem that caused the application to crash has been adjusted.

Microsoft also cites fixes for a bug where programs were not sorted in the correct location in the list of all applications in the Start menu when using the Japanese display language; an underlying research flaw in the latest builds; and an error where Home unexpectedly showed some users that there was NaN% storage remaining.
