Windows 11 22H2 will offer many new features. Users enrolled in the Windows Insider Program can already get a taste of this content. It is possible to discover the return of drag and drop at the level of the taskbar, faster contextual menus or even a revisited task manager.
The latter is one of the most significant advances in this first Windows 11 feature update. Microsoft has reworked its look with the adoption of Fluent Design and WinUI 3.0 facelift codes. Added to this is a new layout with key options in the left column. We thus find an approach similar to that of Parameters.
With Windows 11 Build 22588, Microsoft introduces a new feature. It allows to generate a Kernel or a complete crash dump via the Task Manager. If you are a long time user of this OS you know the Crash Dump. This file is automatically generated if the operating system crashes with a BSOD (blue screen of death) verdict.
If it is possible to generate a crash dump using the control panel, the operation is also possible directly from the task manager. This progress is interesting because the resolution of certain problems is simplified. Why ? A Crash Dump includes saving system memory at the time of a crash.
Added to this are performance optimizations. The task manager gains speed due to a lighter robe. It exploits for example the effect MICA. The reorganization of the content is supposed to offer a more user-friendly environment especially on touch screens.
Finally we also have an “efficiency mode” to limit system resources (CPU) for certain specific programs and processes. This new feature is useful for laptops because the ability to manually limit CPU usage is a way to optimize battery usage.
