The Windows 11 update policy is more complicated than that of Windows 10. It includes certain principles. Windows 11 23H2 feature update has been spotted.
Microsoft originated a dynamic update strategy in the Windows 10 era. Dynamic because it relied on two major releases every year. When Windows 11 was released, this approach was reworked and adapted. We’ve moved to once a year with “smaller” updates to improve the experience. These “small updates” are known as Moment updates.
We’ve known for several months now that Moment 2 is in the works. Its release would even be very close since the rumors evoke the month of February 2023. We must also expect Moment 3 which for its part should land around next May.
Windows 11, 23H2 is spotted
As we have pointed out, these are not “big” updates. A recent report confirms this while claiming that the 2023 feature update is in development. More precisely @XenoPanther spotted the first reference to Windows 11 v23H2. Work on this version has apparently started but internally at Microsoft.
This discovery is not really a surprise because a feature update requires a lot of work. On the other hand, the information is interesting because it suggests that the new features offered by this version will soon be tested through the Windows Insider program.
In addition, the name 23H2 refers to a release during the second half of the year 2023, a calendar in accordance with Microsoft’s official posture. The software giant said about it

Windows 11 feature updates will be released in the second half of the calendar year and will ship with 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro Education editions; 36 months of support for Enterprise and Education editions.
