Windows 11 22H2, the RTM is officially available

It’s now official, Windows 11 22H2 RTM is here. In a recent intervention Microsoft confirms what we had anticipated.

The final version of the first Windows 11 feature update will be available soon. Although Microsoft has remained very discreet on the subject, the rumors of the last few days have announced that an important step has been taken. The recent build 22621 might be the RTM of 22H2. Naturally, the firm has been careful not to comment on this information, at least until now.

In a recent article Aiming at its hardware partners, Microsoft confirms that Windows 11 build 22621 is the RTM for 22H2. We don’t have too much information just a confirmation. For example, we don’t have a specific timetable for the launch of the general public deployment. It is likely that the development teams will continue their work in order to solve the last bugs while optimizing performance. All this will be offered through future updates.

The objective is to provide the necessary to ensure a “Premium” experience. This implies that there will no longer be any novelty or new functionality. Future updates will focus on stability, responsiveness, and the latest bugs discovered.

The mainstream rollout may begin next September. However, this date is not confirmed. On the other hand, it is certain that the approach will be conservative with a staged availability in order to control the download and installation process. In this way it is possible to limit the number of victims in the event of a major bug. How ? Redmond may implement restrictions to prevent its operating system from installing on configurations that may experience failures while awaiting necessary patches.
