Windows 10, KB5020953 corrige un important bug

Microsoft is releasing an out-of-band update for Windows 10 devices. It fixes an important bug affecting the OneDrive service.

This issue affects all supported versions of Windows 10. It is considered important because it makes it impossible to launch OneDrive. It was introduced by a previous cumulative update and affects OneDrive and OneDrive for Business.

If you are concerned you may encounter the following requests and issues

  • Sign out or unlink your account in the Microsoft OneDrive sync app.
  • Disassociate sites or folders from syncing to your device from Microsoft SharePoint or Microsoft Teams sites.
  • Uninstalling the OneDrive sync app may fail.

The situation is supposed to resolve with the installation of KB5020953. It fixes this bug and allows OneDrive to return to normal operation. However, this update is optional. Clearly it is necessary to intervene manually to trigger its download and installation.
