Windows 10 and 11, May 2022 Patch Tuesday begins, all the details

Patch Tuesday for May 2022 gives rise to new Windows 10 and Windows 11 cumulative updates. Microsoft is focusing on security but also on fixing bugs and failures. This maintenance does not only concern the giant’s operating systems. Other products in its catalog are affected.

This May 2022 Patch Tuesday comes with two highlights.

  • Microsoft provides critical security updates for all supported versions of Windows. We have support for other products including .NET, Visual Studio, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
  • Windows 10 20H2 and v1909 are now discontinued. Clearly their maintenance is no longer provided by Microsoft.

Microsoft fixes 27 security vulnerabilities in Windows 7. These fixes are offered as part of extended support only. We have patched 3 critical security issues

Windows 10 v1909 is affected by 43 vulnerabilities, 4 of which are considered critical.

Windows 10 20H2, 21H1 and 21H2 are affected by 44 vulnerabilities, four of which are considered critical.

At last Windows 11 is affected by 44 vulnerabilities of which 6 are critical.
