Multiple media reports said today, Wednesday, that Wimbledon, the third of the four Grand Slam tournaments, decided to exclude the Russian and Belarusian players from participating in it, in the wake of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

And this decision would deprive the Russian second-ranked Daniil Medvedev from participating in the Wimbledon Championships, which will be the same fate as the Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, winner of two titles in the Grand Slam.

Wimbledon will be held from June 27 to July 10.

Wimbledon will be the first tournament to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian players following the crisis, following they were allowed to participate in other tournaments as neutral players.
