In a set without a single break point, Alcaraz snatched the fifth set in the deciding game. The Spaniard quickly took off in the fifth set, flying to 5-1, before concluding the match with a shutout.
In the round of 16, Alcaraz will face the winner of the duel between the American Brandon Nakashima (ATP 65) and the Frenchman Ugo Humbert (ATP 16).
