“Willing to damage Italy” –

Willing to do anything to hit the government chosen by the citizens, even to damage Italy. At the end of a day characterized by the trial against Matteo Salvini in Palermo for the Open Arms case and by the decision of the Rome court which rejected the detention of the first migrants in the new centers in Albania, establishing that they must be brought to Italy, the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni accuses the Democratic Party of the infringement request requested in Europe against their own country. “Dear Italians, this is the text with which the PD parliamentarians elected to the European Parliament ask Europe to open a formal infringement procedure against Italy”, writes Meloni on Albania.

Albania, judges stop. Meloni's anger: Part of the institutions are against us

“Your representatives who define as ‘illegal’ a measure voted by the Italian Parliament only because they do not agree with it. Your representatives who propose that Italy be punished, because the majority of its citizens have chosen the centre-right to govern the nation and have asked the government to stop mass illegal immigration”, comments the prime minister who underlines the “scandalous and irresponsible” attitude of Elly Schlein’s party. “These – he adds – are the ‘democrats’ who, against the will of the majority of Italians, ask for external support to force Italy not to respect the will of the majority of its citizens. Simply scandalous and irresponsible behavior. And there is no ‘neither right nor left enters: the only thing that matters is that they are willing to damage Italy as a whole in order to strike a government they don’t like,’ concludes Meloni. A clash that is destined to characterize the next few days, given that the Prime Minister has announced a Council of Ministers for the Albania case on Monday.
