Williams F1, Nyck de Vries appointed to FP1 of the Spanish Grand Prix[F1-Gate .com]

The Williams F1 team has announced that it will appoint Nyck de Vries for the first free run of the 2022 F1 Round 6 Spanish Grand Prix.

This year, F1 requires young drivers to be on board at least twice in free practice. The Williams F1 team has decided to appoint Mercedes F1 reserve driver and active Formula E champion Nyck de Vries for the first free run of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Nyck de Vries will drive the FW44 on behalf of Alex Albon and will help the team qualify and prepare for the Grand Prix following Albon returns to the FW44 for the second free run.
