Williams F1 decides to end the Ayrton Senna logo on the car[F1-Gate .com]

Williams F1 team representative Jost Capito has put the “S” logo on the F1 car for 27 years in honor of three-time F1 world champion Ayrton Senna on the 2022 F1 car “FW44”. I explained the reason for removing it.

Since 1995, the year after Ayrton Senna, who drove the Williams FW16, died in Imola, the team has posted the Senna “S” logo on the nose of F1 cars to honor Ayrton Senna.

That tradition continued until last season, but the 2022 F1 machine FW43, adorned with striking blue livery, did not carry the Ayrton Senna logo.

When asked about the decision, Williams F1 team representative Jost Capito reminds the driver of the accident at the 1994 F1 San Marino Grand Prix by keeping the team “going forward” and always displaying it on the car. He explained that he had decided to stop letting him go and instead buy the founder Williams in 2020 and the team now owned by Drillton Capitali would continue to honor Ayrton Senna in the museum’s private space.

“It was a decision we wanted to move forward in the future,” said Jost Capito.

“We have entered a new era and have a new machine. We have also refurbished the museum. There is a special area to celebrate Ailton.”

“I think we have to look to the future rather than not seeing an” S “every time the driver gets in the car and reminding us of what happened.”

“It’s time for the team to move on, pay tribute to Senna, and set up a very dedicated space in the museum to honor him.”

Jost Mapito did not consult with Ayrton Senna’s family about the decision, but said efforts were underway to increase the team’s work with the Senna Foundation.

“We didn’t have any discussions with our families, but we’re working with the Foundation to strengthen our work with the Foundation and work towards further support for the Senna Foundation,” said Jost Capito.

“I think more people will benefit from it, especially if we can help people through the Foundation, I think it’s a very good program, but it still has to be finally defined.”

Founded in late 1994, the Ayrton Senna Foundation is a Brazilian NGO, presided over by Ayrton’s sister Vivian, who is raising funds to support young Brazilians in educational and social programs.

Williams F1 has decided to stop revealing the actual FW44 car in an online announcement and instead offer coloring in a show car. Drivers Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi are shaking down the FW44 at Silverstone on Tuesday afternoon.
