American actor William Hurt, who became known worldwide in the 1980s for his performances in award-winning films and more recently worked in several films in the Marvel franchise, died this Sunday at the age of 71, according to the US press. .USA

Hurt won the Oscar for best actor in 1986 for playing an inmate in a Brazilian jail in The kiss of spider women, in which he starred alongside actors Raúl Juliá and Sonia Braga.
