The Flemish starred chef, Willem Hiele, is suspected of intentional assault and battery once morest one of his employees, relay our colleagues from the daily De Morgen.
The facts allegedly took place last November, in the very heart of Hiele’s restaurant in Bruges. At the time, the establishment had been closed for two months. The blows and injuries caused the employee to be incapacitated for work.
Following the investigation, the Bruges section of the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office decided to prosecute Willem Hiele. The final request would be to bring the starred chef before the criminal court for intentional assault and battery.
The case will be reviewed in the fall.
