Will Trinamool become a black horse in Goa ?; അണിയറ നീക്കം തകൃതി | Goa Elections

New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress-MGP alliance has said that the Congress and the BJP have joined hands following the exit poll results. Exit poll results do not predict a clear majority for either party. With this, the Congress and the BJP started a series of moves.

If neither party gets a majority, smaller parties, including the Trinamool, may turn into black horses. Meanwhile, it was reported that the BJP had exchanged views with the Trinamool-Maharashtrawadi Gomandak Party (MGP) alliance. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant himself revealed that the central leadership had communicated with the MGP.

The MGP had earlier stated that it would not support Pramod Sawant as chief minister. The Trinamool and MGP will meet on Wednesday to discuss forming an alliance following the results are announced. The MGP said the alliance would be formed on the basis of the number of seats available following the results are declared.

Pramod Sawant is in Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was in Delhi to brief Modi on the situation in Goa. He will then travel to Mumbai to meet Devendra Fadnavis, who is in charge of Goa.

MGP leader Sudhin Dhawalikar said the alliance was formed only following the Trinamool Congress won the confidence of the people. But he will not support Pramod Sawant as Chief Minister. He said that following Pramod Sawant became the Chief Minister following Manohar Parrikar, two ministers lost their posts. In 2019, the AGP withdrew its support for the BJP government.
