A member of the Representative Professions Syndicate, Azzouz Adel, revealed that the funeral of artist Samir Sabry will be held at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed City, next Monday, May 23, 2022.
And he confirmed, in exclusive statements to “Masrawy”, that the artist’s son, Samir Sabry, will attend the funeral ceremony. He added: “Sure, he will attend, but I don’t know the details.”
A large number of art stars performed the funeral prayer for the late artist Samir Sabry at the Police Mosque in the Sheikh Zayed area, before he was transferred to his final resting place to be buried in Alexandria.
The family of the late artist had opened its cemetery in Al-Manara tombs in the Shatby area in central Alexandria, hours before the body arrived from Cairo in preparation for its burial, and his son missed the funeral.
The great artist Samir Sabry died inside a Cairo hotel, yesterday, Friday, at the age of 86, following a struggle with heart disease, following which he was transferred to a hospital in mid-February.
A large group of art stars were keen to mourn the great artist Samir Sabry, who was born in Alexandria in 1936, and graduated from Victoria College.
Samir is an actor, producer, singer and TV presenter. Among his most famous films are: Hell Under Water, With Parents Ehsan, El Salkhana, Love and Pride, Tears of Her Majesty, and one of his most famous programs: The International Club, Kan Zaman, this evening.
It is reported that the great artist Samir Sabry presented unforgettable works during his artistic career, perhaps the most prominent of which are: “The Search for a Scandal, Half an Hour of Passport, Shenbo in the Trap, Brothers Enemies, My Father above the Tree, Great Fulfillment, Underwater Hell” and others.
