Todd Howard knows that a lot of you want a Skyrim series, so he clarified the matter a bit in an interview.
The TV series Fallout was such a blastthat even now we have not fully recovered. The video game adaptation is incredibly popular, and the first season is getting rave reviews, and you can watch all the episodes from day one. Speaking of which, the idea immediately arose, what regarding Bethesda’s other beloved games?
Have you read these?
Speaking to IGN at Fallout’s premiere in Los Angeles, Bethesda’s top man Todd Howard answered the inevitable question regarding whether the studio has more series adaptations up its sleeves:
“I do not know. Nothing is planned for now. Everyone asks regarding the Elder Scrolls, but I keep saying no. You never know if someone will click on it. I can’t predict the future. Fallout was one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve ever done, and everyone at the studio sees it that way and is very happy to see it come to fruition.”
So it looks like there are currently no plans for a Skyrim or Starfield TV series, but that doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. The most important lesson is that Bethesda does something when it feels it’s good, not when it has to. And the other thing that makes it hard to do is that the Elder Scrolls has an amazing world and story, but to the general public it would just seem like another Middle-earth clone, because you just can’t tell the story as well as Fallout, which has a much more unique universe. case.
