Will Smith is only the fifth black man to win the Best Actor statuette since the awards ceremony was established.

Anne-Lovely Étienne therefore believes that this incident has the effect of making people forget the historical reward of the actor.

“We’re just going to remember that he slapped Chris Rock,” she says.

She believes the actor should have used the ceremony to recognize all the other black people who paved the way before him.

“There are so many things that have gone unnoticed, unfortunately,” she believes.

“I think Will Smith has accumulated a certain frustration, a humiliation for several months knowing that his wife has been unfaithful”, supports the journalist.

She believes that in the end, Will Smith would need to go to therapy and that such behavior is not normal.
