Will PiS look for a coalition in the assemblies? Jabłoński sees an opportunity

Paweł Jabłoński stated that politicians from other parties, including Polish People’s Party, noted that “paradoxically, their parties lost in these elections.” I know that this is the case at the lowest level, that politicians of various parties are not necessarily such enthusiasts of blind cooperation only with Donald Tusk, he said, adding that PiS is open to cooperation with anyone who “wants to cooperate substantively and sensibly.”

The PiS MP informed that the party’s provincial structures would decide on entering any coalitions. I think that each of such decisions will have to obtain the consent of the political leadership, but in principle, despite this black image of murderousness, we really are a party in which what the structures suggest has enormous power. I’m not saying that it always decides, but it has an influence – he emphasized.

When asked if he had information about Jacek Kurski running for the European Parliament, he replied that he knew nothing about it. He also refrained from expressing his own opinion on the matter.

Why is Law and Justice losing in the largest cities? If we look at the 100 largest cities, there is no victory in Wrocław in the first round. There is (also) the second round in Poznań. In many places, e.g. Chorzów or Rzeszów, the Platform lost in the first round – noted the guest of Morning Talk on RMF FM.

I know perfectly well that the social structure is such that in larger cities, better results have always been achieved by the left and the center, i.e. the Platform and its allies, and PiS has always been stronger in smaller centers – he noted.

Paweł Jabłoński pointed out that this is a global phenomenon. In the United States, Republicans in some districts do not campaign at all because they know they will lose. (…) Democrats are not leading in districts where Republicans dominate. This is how it sometimes looks like, that certain phenomena are so strong that no party or campaign will change it, he said.

At the end of the Morning conversation on RMF FM, Robert Mazurek quoted the words of Jarosław Kaczyński, who once again said that Law and Justice should create a “grand coalition”. What does it mean?

The former deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that it is primarily about cooperation with parties “that want good work for Poland in the sense that we understand it.” However, we must realize that there is a certain conflict in the vision of the development of our country – he added and gave the issue of internal and local government policy as an example. We believe that the differences between poorer regions and the large, richest cities should be equalized. PO thinks differently, he noted.

We are ready to cooperate with anyone who shares our vision, at least to some extent, he added, admitting, however, that in recent years the actions of his party made it difficult for other parties to cooperate with PiS.
