Rohit Sharma was an impact player for Mumbai in the match. Mumbai Indians spinner Piyush Chawla revealed following the match why Rohit played as an impact player.
Chawla said Rohit played as an impact player due to back pain.
“Rohit Sharma had a slight back pain. So he became an impact player as a precaution,” Piyush Chawla said following the match.
Rohit Sharma scored 11 runs off 12 balls in the match. Manish Pandya was caught by Rohit on the fifth ball of the fifth over bowled by Sunil Narine.
Mumbai’s batting saw Suryakumar Yadav score 56 runs off 36 balls and Tim David score 24 runs off 20 balls but the team fell short. The setback for Mumbai was that none of the other players were able to perform well.
