Will half the Bundesliga play in Europe soon?

With Eintracht Frankfurt and Rasenballsport Leipzig, two clubs are currently in the semi-finals of the Europa League. Should one of the two teams win the tournament, this would also affect the German starting places.

Of the Bundesliga five starting places in the coming season beckon Champions League. Because should Eintracht Frankfurtwho are in Barcelona yesterday sensationally qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa Leaguewin the title, they would automatically be eligible for the premier class.

Eight Bundesliga teams might play European

Since Eintracht is currently in ninth place in the Bundesliga, it cannot be assumed that the team from Oliver Glasner still qualified for the Champions League via the league, the Bundesliga would get an additional starter in the coming year with Eintracht. So that would be the FC Bayern (Platz 1), Borussia Dortmund (2), Bayer Leverkusen (3), lawn ball sports Leipzig (4) and as Europa League-Winner the Eintracht (9) eligible to participate.

In general, the first four teams in the Bundesliga qualify for the Champions League and the fifth and cup winners for the group stage of the Europa League. The sixth is allowed in the playoffs for the Conference League participate.

If the DFB Cup winner (in the semi-finals Leipzig and Union Berlin as well as the HSV and the SC Freiburg) end up in the top six teams in the Bundesliga, seventh place would be enough to reach the conference league playoffs. If this happens and Eintracht Frankfurt, as a potential Europa League winner, does not end up in the top seven teams, then the Bundesliga would be represented internationally with a full eight teams in the coming year, i.e. almost half the league.
