A short break and then the return of the great heat. Summer, in Italy, does not seem to be ending. In the second part of August, in fact, temperatures have started to rise again. Showers and isolated showers aside, everything suggests that it will take some more time for the need to keep an umbrella handy. When will the season change? This is the question that the team of ilmeteo.it tried to answer. “The latest updates have in fact postponed the passage of the perturbation descending from the North Atlantic by a few days”, the experts state. At the moment, “the trajectory of the cyclone seems to follow a more westerly direction than expected”.

The affected territories, according to what we read, will be those of the Iberian Peninsula and France. No change of pace is expected for the beginning of next week: “It will be hot and sunny in most areas, except for local thunderstorms in the mountainous areas”, they explain. There is, however, a detail that suggests that it will soon be time to put on the first sweaters. Between September 6 and 8, “the end-of-season storm could then also reach our country”. If confirmed, extreme phenomena such as thunderstorms, cloudbursts and hail cannot be ruled out. Will we write the final word on summer at that point? “During the month of September it seems that there will be the possibility of further heat waves arriving from Africa”, specifies the team of the site.
