According to Arab News, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud came to Islamabad on a two-day visit this week, with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and advancing previously agreed investment agreements.
Pakistan has said that investment projects worth 30 billion dollars were presented in Riyadh during Prince Faisal’s visit.
The visit of Saudi officials took place after a meeting between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Makkah, in which Saudi Arabia promised to accelerate investment of five billion dollars.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while giving details of Prince Faisal’s visit during the weekly briefing, said, “We will continue constructive relations with Saudi Arabia to increase economic and strategic partnership.”
