ARIF Dwi Pangestu is an Indonesian recurve archer who has achieved many achievements in international competitions.

Based on the World Archery Sports ranking, Arif is ranked 53rd as the best male recurve archer in the world. Here is the profile, career journey, and achievements of Arif Dwi Pangestu.

Profile and Biography of Arif Dwi Pangertu

Arif was born in Bantul, DI Yogyakarta on March 25, 2004. The 20-year-old athlete represented Indonesia at the 2019 SEA Games, in the men’s recurve and team events, and won a gold medal in the team event, with Riau Ega Agatha and Hendra Purnama.

Meanwhile, at the Olympic level, Arif was one of the archery athletes included in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was ranked 32nd.

Arif Dwi Pangestu’s Career Journey

Arif is known to have loved archery since he was 8 years old. Since then, he has focused on training and participating in many national and international tournaments.

Thanks to his hobby, he managed to make many proud achievements for Indonesia. One of them is the gold medal in the men’s team at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines when he was only 15 years old.

In 2021, Arif participated in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games competition in Konya, Turkey. In the competition, Arif managed to win individual medals in the individual recurve and men’s team events.

In the same year, Arif once more showed his true self at the 2021 SEA Games. In that match, Arif took part in bringing home 2 gold medals in the men’s individual and team events. Until now, Arif is still actively participating in various archery competitions.

Now, Arif Dwi Pangestu is one of the athletes who has successfully qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, following reaching the semifinals in the men’s recurve event at the 2023 World Archery Championships in Berlin, Germany.
