Apprenticeships have always had a high priority in the Wiener Stadtwerke Group. That is why the number of apprenticeships is also being successively expanded, because we want to increasingly train the specialists of tomorrow ourselves. Vienna (OTS) Doing an apprenticeship in the Wiener Stadtwerke Group means receiving state-of-the-art training with a wide range of career opportunities. From September 1st you can apply for one of the 225 apprenticeships (+5% compared to the previous year) in 18 apprenticeship trades of the Wiener Stadtwerke Group. The palette ranges from a double apprenticeship in electrical engineering and mechatronics to cemetery gardening or installation and building technology. Anyone who completes an apprenticeship in the Wiener Stadtwerke Group usually stays – and has a good chance of climbing the career ladder in the company. 80 percent of the apprentices who successfully complete their studies are taken on.

The number of new admissions almost doubled from 120 in 2018 to 225 this year. More than 80 apprentices are being sought for the double apprenticeship in electrical engineering and mechatronics alone, followed by mechanical engineering and track construction technology. By far the largest number of apprentices are being sought with around 125 apprenticeship positions at Wiener Linien, followed by Wien Energie and Wiener Netze.
