The Ministry of Interior has submitted a report to the Islamabad High Court on the request once morest the closure of social networking platform “X”. In which the application was requested to be dismissed at the initial stage. Apart from this, the Sindh and Peshawar High Courts also heard the Internet, X (Twitter) shutdown case.

The Ministry of Home Affairs requested that the petitioner should be dismissed at the initial stages as no fundamental right of the petitioner has been deprived.
According to the report, the application once morest the closure of X is contrary to law and facts, not admissible, X is not registered in Pakistan nor is it a party to the agreement to abide by Pakistani laws.
The Ministry of Interior said in the report that the orders of the Government of Pakistan regarding the misuse of the platform by X were not followed.
Sindh High Court
The Sindh High Court ordered the Interior Ministry to withdraw the letter of closure of X.
The Sindh High Court said that if the letter is not withdrawn, the court will issue its order.
The Ministry of Interior was also directed to present the reasons for the closure of X.
Peshawar High Court notice to federation and PTA
The Peshawar High Court issued another notice to the federal government and the PTA on the petition filed once morest the X (Twitter) shutdown and sought their response.
The hearing on the application was conducted by Justice SM Atiq Shah and Justice Syed Arshad Ali of Peshawar High Court.
The petitioner’s lawyer Nauman Muhib Kakakhil Advocate told the court that the government has blocked the social media app X (Twitter) even though X is an important source of information and students are also facing difficulties due to its closure.
