Why Shiffrin got a goat in her hometown

Mikaela Shiffrin wrote ski history in the past World Cup season. With 88 World Cup victories, the 28-year-old American has even broken the all-time record set by Swedish legend Ingemar Stenmark.

Accordingly, Shiffrin is now celebrated. After a short vacation in Mexico, the 28-year-old’s marathon of honors and celebrations continued yesterday at her hometown of Vail, Colorado. “I travel all over the world, but I really feel at home here, I sleep in my own real bed,” Shiffrin thanked the numerous fans who had come.

Shiffrin also got a cute goat as a gift. The background: The English word “Goat” (goat) stands for “Greatest Of All Time” in sport.
