Why Rafael Inclán Refuses to Retire: A Look at the Legendary Mexican Actor’s Career and Financial Struggles

Although Mexican television has legendary figures who participate in recognized productions for several years, eventually the rate of appearances usually decreases as their age advances. However, in the case of Rafael Inclán, this is totally different, as he refuses to give up acting.

With participation in Televisa and TV Azteca productions, the 83-year-old Mexican celebrity has admitted that she does not want to retire from acting for a very simple reason: she does not have enough money to stop working.

Although controversial, the first actor’s statements put on the table the situation of thousands of actors who, following living their golden years, fall into loneliness and even financial problems.

WHY IS RAFAEL INCLÁN STILL WORKING?

Rafael Inclán is one of the most respected actors in Mexico, with a career that spans more than 65 years and an experience that has led him to participate in 130 films, 27 soap operas, 17 series and several plays. A prolific career that describes his professionalism.

However, at 83 years old, the artist does not plan to move away from the spotlight. The reason? Financial problems that do not allow you to even evaluate a worthy retirement.

“I don’t know how to do anything, I don’t have the capital to retire. I have nothing but my job. I have never thought regarding retiring,” said Don Rafael, who had his last appearance in “El Maleficio,” in which he plays Darío Sanabria.

Likewise, the actor ruled out that there is favoritism in the choice of his roles in works, mainly from TelevisaUnivision, highlighting that he is not indulged in new roles.

“I don’t know whose consent it is, but I hope they continue like this, right?” he said, laughing. “The majority of those who work, work: Ignacio López Tarso, Sergio Corona, Flaco Ibáñez, Diana Bracho…”, he listed as a defense.

THE HEALTH OF RAFAEL INCLÁN

During the conversation, Inclán commented with a smile that “administrative things are not discussed,” refusing to reveal if he was part of Televisa’s exclusive artists, in addition to confessing that although he is in good health, he is still plagued by some discomfort.

“Since I have never taken much care of myself, here I go. The last surgical intervention for the femur prosthesis is not very strong because of me for going ahead of time to work, but here I go,” she commented.

The actor, who confessed that he hopes not to need another surgery to treat his mobility problems, reflected on the passing of the years and stressed that he does not regret every step he has taken in his career.

“Vitality decreases with age, you have to put your brain into everything. Those who change are because they regret how they were and I don’t. Life takes its toll, whether you behave well or badly, there is no where to go,” she explained.

Finally, the first actor flatly denied that he plans to publish his biography and memoirs, reviewing his extensive artistic career, since that would include having other colleagues and he does not wish to do so.

“I am incapable of throwing my colleagues away, especially those who have already left,” he responded. “I don’t have a need, why?” she said.
